Volunteers are the Heart of the Rescue

  • Have you ever wished to be part of a community of people who are dedicated to the wellbeing of horses and ponies?
  • Are you in high school and need community hours to graduate?
  • Are you retired and looking for a fun way to meet others and stay fit?
  • Even if you do not have horse experience, we have several opportunities in fundraising, marketing, social media and website authoring.

Working at the Barn

Volunteers are the Heart of the Rescue

Volunteers are the Heart of the Rescue

Our volunteers help with day-to-day barn management, daily horse and pony turnout, grooming and pasture maintenance.

Some of these tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • spending time with the horses; they love human contact
  • daily jobs of mucking our stalls, feeding and cleaning & filling up water buckets, leading and grooming
  • general barn and yard maintenance and repairs
  • taking hay to the animals in the paddocks
  • sweeping and keeping barn presentable
