In 2025, Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary was granted membership in the OCGA Licensed Bingo and cGaming at Delta Fort Erie Uncle Sams Bingo.
OCGA provide support and advocacy for their members to sustain and grow charitable gaming as an important source of funding for services in communities across Ontario
Each month, our volunteers are assigned sessions where they welcome and assist guests during their visit to their local gaming centres.
This is another example of our Community supporting our rescue efforts.
Thank You OCGA!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers!
Dear Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary Volunteers,
On behalf of every equine resident, past and present, and the entire team at Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary, we extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude for your unwavering dedication and tireless efforts.
You are the backbone of our sanctuary, the hands that heal, the voices that soothe, and the hearts that give these magnificent animals a second chance at life.
From mucking stalls and grooming, to assisting with feeding, providing essential companionship, and helping with facility maintenance, every hour you dedicate makes an immeasurable difference. Your selflessness ensures that our equines receive the highest standard of care, comfort, and love they so desperately need and deserve.
The equines in our care are eternally grateful for your presence. They thrive because of your kindness, patience, and hard work. You are not just volunteers; you are their guardians, their friends, and their hope.
Thank you for being the compassionate force that keeps Last Chance running. Your generosity of spirit is truly inspiring.
With profound appreciation,
The Equines of Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary

Phoebe, one of our Youth Volunteers, slowly brings Chloe, our beautiful blind rescue pony, to meet Ben.
Ben (who is also blind) and his family raised money at a golf tournament for Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary. Your Generosity and Kindness will not soon be forgotten.
Thank you Ben
Quinsey was named after the late Mr. Ronald Charles Quinsey 1934 -2018 of Fort Erie, Ontario. A great believer and supporter of Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary. Ron and his Wife, Thelma, have been The Rescues supporters since the beginning. Mr. & Mrs. Quinsey's generous Donations have been the foundation for the rescues wellbeing. Mrs. Thelma Quincey learned of our campaign to acquire the The Rescues Forever Sanctuary and directed a significant donation that is currently held in trust for The Rescues. Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and Sanctuary is forever grateful for all The Rescues lives they have enriched and provided for. Thank You Ron & Thelma Quincey. On many occasions over the years, The Rescues could not have made it without you. Forever Grateful.
Sadly, we lost our beloved friend Garry in June 2022.
Garry was always there for us, and drove from Hamilton on a daily basis to spend time at the Rescue.
Garry was a fixture at the barn, either with a paint brush in his hand, helping at our fundraising events, or simply sitting outside one of the stalls singing to the horses.
Garry, the barn is empty without you.
You are missed!
Our dear friend and long time volunteer Barb passed away December 2021.
She loved all animals, especially dogs and horses. Barbara raised and showed Afghan Hounds and was a volunteer at the Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue.
Thank You Barb for your years of service.
We Miss You!
In Memory of our friend Shirley Payne, who passed away on October 22, 2018. Shirley and her daughter Charity used to visit the Rescue before she became ill, and sewed many of the costumes we use for special events.
We will miss you Shirley.
